María Jesús has become a reluctant symbol of this struggle as she carries her son, Arturo, who has reduced mobility, up the stairs of their school. The elevator has been repeatedly out of service, forcing them to navigate the stairs daily.

She believes that leaving him on the ground floor would be akin to exclusion. Furthermore, the school—while supportive—has offered to assist in carrying Arturo, which she rejects due to safety concerns.
