Matthieu Bonne had previously attempted to break this record in Merelbeke in the spring but was forced to withdraw due to health issues. The athlete launched his incredible challenge last Thursday at noon, alongside 115 other runners from Lake Balaton in Hungary for the world championships of the 6 Days Race.

Accomplishments and Endurance

Matthieu Bonne ran for six days without facing major problems, completing an astounding distance equivalent to more than 24 marathons. He only took brief breaks for sleep, resting a mere four times for two and a half hours and taking two other 10-minute pauses.
