A five-month-old baby was rushed to hospital in serious condition following a sydney fire at a granny flat in Western Sydney. The blaze erupted before 7.30am on Tuesday at Siandra Ave, Fairfield. A child was also transported to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, reportedly in stable condition.

Fire Control Efforts

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) dispatched nine trucks and 36 firefighters to combat the flames. The sydney fire was declared under control by 8am, though crews worked diligently to extinguish all remnants of the fire.

Investigation Underway
