I feel like I just let myself down so much because I’m not how I used to be,” the star said, going on to explain how this affects the way she navigates the dating world.

Challenges with Commitment

Roan, who came out as lesbian this year mid-show in Ohio, admitted that she’s been dealing with commitment issues stemming from her grappling with fame. “I met this girl that I really like, but [I] can’t commit because I feel like no one understands me. I don’t want to date another artist because they’re f*cking nuts,” she explained, highlighting her struggles to connect. Despite her reservations, Roan revealed she’s currently getting to know someone who is “completely outside the industry” and has been understanding of her special situation.

Facing Stalkers and Boundaries

Earlier this summer, Roan made headlines after posting a series of TikToks calling out fans who do not respect her boundaries or privacy, which include her dating experiences. “I don’t care that [abuse, harassment, and stalking] comes along with the job, the career field I’ve chosen. That does not make it OK,” she emphasized her stance on personal space.

In the interview, Roan confirmed she has a stalker, prompting her to increase her security measures. She shared that her experiences resonated with fellow artists, receiving support from renowned names like Charli XCX and Billie Eilish.
