New Era in Satisfactory with Alien Technology

On September 10, Satisfactory will celebrate the end of its five-year early access phase with the official release of version 1.0. Snutt Treptow, Community Manager from Coffee Stain Studios, has given a sneak peek into some of the most exciting features from this update.

Alien Technology Enhancements

One of the highlights of Satisfactory 1.0 is undoubtedly the introduction of Alien technology. Players will utilize Mercer Orbs, bizarre extraterrestrial artifacts found within the game’s environment. Discovering these alien materials opens up a new array of otherworldly technologies.

  • Power-Augmentor and Somersloops
  • The first addition is the Somersloops, employed within a new machine called Power-Augmentor.
  • This device enhances existing power grids, delivering 500 megawatts of energy and providing a 10% boost to connected circuits.
  • Somersloops are a limited resource, meaning players cannot use them indefinitely, though multiple can enhance a single network.

Additionally, Somersloops can be utilized in a unique Overclocking slot available at other crafting stations for further performance enhancement.

Dimensional Depot and Mercer Orbs

Mercer Orbs enable the creation of a new storage unit known as the Dimensional Depot. Everything a player sends to this depot gets uploaded into a form of cloud storage, accessible from anywhere on the map. Players can also deposit items from their inventory into the Dimensional Depot.

Version 1.0 delivers numerous other new features awaiting discovery. What are your thoughts? Use the comments section to share your opinion!
