ZEvent 2024: A Record-Breaking Charity Event

ZEvent 2024 has made headlines by raising over 10 million euros for various charities combating poverty. After a one-year hiatus, the eighth edition of this charity marathon proved to be an overwhelming success. The event, hosted from September 6 to 8 in Montpellier, saw more than 40 streamers unite to rally their audiences, accumulating 10,145,881 euros within just 48 hours.

How the Money Will Be Distributed

This impressive sum will be distributed among five organizations dedicated to fighting poverty:

  • Secours Populaire
  • Cop1
  • Les Bureaux du Cœur
  • Solidarité Paysans
  • Chapitre 2

As a reminder, ZEvent holds the record for the most money raised during a charity event on Twitch. In 2022 and 2021, the organization surpassed the 10 million euro mark, showcasing the commitment of the Twitch community.

The Spirit of Community Engagement

Prominent streamers such as Domingo, Ultia, Antoine Daniel, and Kameto actively encouraged their followers to contribute to the cause throughout the weekend. In addition, a concert featuring Mosimann, a former Star Academy winner, kicked off the festivities, highlighting the event's entertainment aspect.

Despite the absence of ZEvent last year, which was meant for a strategic pause, the enthusiasm of the online community remained strong as they rallied for this charitable cause. Critiques on social media regarding specific streamers did not sway the support, as French internet users came together, demonstrating their dedication to significant social issues.

Donations From Streamers

Funding from over 100 streamers who participated online complemented the contributions from the in-person event, further ensuring a successful outcome. The funds raised this weekend are set to support the selected charities soon.
