Negi noted that while there was partial demarcation near Chakki Khad, the overall boundary issues are still contentious. An investigation was conducted in the Parwanoo region regarding encroachments, but conflicts remain unresolved. Furthermore, the Himachal Pradesh government has levied over Rs 3.20 crore in fines for illegal mining and has dealt with 3,642 cases since April 2022.
