QB Manning Pressures Broncos to Perform Under CEO's Vision

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Nothing is certain before the regular season arrives. But as Owner & CEO Greg Penner watched the Broncos during training camp and preseason, he came away impressed.

“I’m encouraged by what I saw in training camp,” Penner said Thursday. You go back to when I spoke after the season, I said this is going to be a critical offseason and it's obviously too early to declare [it] a success, but I've been really impressed with what [Head Coach] Sean [Payton] and [General Manager] George [Paton] have done this offseason...

Expectations Set High for Rookie QB Bo Nix

Penner remarked that from the very beginning of the offseason program, he felt a shift in energy, a sentiment often echoed by Payton in recent weeks. “From the first day of OTAs, just the enthusiasm and competitiveness — I’m sure you all could hear it on the field — was different,” Penner noted. “That carried through to training camp, with the passion and intensity seen in preseason games.”

As the Broncos approach Week 1 in Seattle, Penner maintains belief in the team's potential. “It’s a young team, but I’ve got high expectations for what we can accomplish,” Penner expressed.

Regarding the energy surrounding the Broncos, Penner highlighted the early play of rookie quarterback Bo Nix. “I’ve been really impressed with his poise and maturity,” Penner stated. “That’s something about starting that many games in college that obviously develops. I think he’s got incredible traits.”

Penner remains excited to see what Nix can accomplish on the field, showing strong support for the rookie and his development throughout the season.
