The subdelegate of the Spanish Government in Sevilla, Francisco Toscano, attended the inauguration of the new Citizen Report and Service Office of the Policía Nacional. From this Friday, it will operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. This service is expected to greatly enhance the security and well-being of Sevilla's citizens. Toscano emphasized that this improvement benefits over 244,000 residents across the Este-Alcosa-Torreblanca and Cerro-Amate districts, streamlining operations alongside service units in the Centro and Nervión districts.
Enhanced Security and Efficiency
Ernesto López Ganfornina, the Provincial Commissioner, stated that this new citizen service marks a significant advancement in crime resolution. As response times improve, the likelihood of apprehending criminals increases. The addition of this comisaría, combined with the existing 24-hour facilities, facilitates detention reports without the need for residents to travel from neighboring areas.
- Government's Commitment to Security: Ensuring public safety remains a priority for the national government, emphasized Toscano during the event.
- Technological Upgrades: The new comisaría includes features allowing citizens to manage their Identity Documents with staff support, plus an automated queue management system.
- Since 2018, there has been a 9.5% increase in police presence on Sevilla's streets.
Recently, 116 new officers joined the national police in the Sevilla province, enhancing community protection further. The current infrastructure at the Este District Comisaría includes several specialized units ensuring prompt citizen assistance.
