Emir Sahiti Strengthens Hamburger SV in 2. Bundesliga
Hamburger SV Secures Emir Sahiti
Hamburg (dpa) - Hamburger SV has found a replacement for the suspended Mario Vuskovic. The 2. Bundesliga club signed the French defender Lucas Perrin from Racing Strasbourg, strengthening their defensive lineup.
As part of a strategic transfer, they also introduced the talented winger Emir Sahiti from Hajduk Split. The 25-year-old Kosovo international previously played alongside Vuskovic at the Croatian top club.
Following the suspension announcement by the International Sports Court (CAS) on Tuesday, which will extend until 2026 for Vuskovic, Hamburger SV swiftly moved to finalize their transfer strategies.
“With the signing of Lucas, we've significantly reinforced our central defense,” stated Hamburg's sporting director Stefan Kuntz, indicating that this was a key objective during the current summer transfer window.
