James Ward-Prowse Set for Nottingham Forest Move

James Ward-Prowse is set to move on loan to Nottingham Forest from West Ham United. A straight loan has been agreed in principle that will see the England international, 29, move to the City Ground on a temporary basis after falling down the pecking order at West Ham. Ward-Prowse is now set to complete a medical ahead of a proposed move to West Ham's counterparts. He has featured for just 16 minutes for new head coach Julen Lopetegui in the Premier League this season, coming on as a substitute in the opening weekend defeat.

Ward-Prowse's Journey and Background

Ward-Prowse joined West Ham from Southampton in a £30 million transfer last summer. He went on to make 52 appearances in his first season at the London Stadium, scoring seven goals. Despite earning 11 caps for England, he missed out on selection for Gareth Southgate's squad for Euro 2024. West Ham have recently signed new players to bolster their midfield, and Forest have made nine new signings this summer, including midfielders.
