Key Sites in Lorraine Benefiting from the Loto du Patrimoine

Stéphane Bern, along with the Franche des jeux and the Fondation du Patrimoine, has announced the inclusion of Lorraine in the Loto du Patrimoine for 2024, unveiling a list of 100 historic sites. The initiative continues its mission to preserve and restore France's heritage through lottery funds.

Highlighted Projects for Conservation

This year, the emphasis remains on various monuments historiques, specifically chosen for their cultural significance. These include chateaux, historic fountains, traditional alsacian houses, and much more, located primarily in rural areas.

  • 61% of eligible monuments are unprotected.
  • 58% of the sites are in communes with fewer than 2000 inhabitants.
  • 7 special lottery draws are scheduled for September.

Since its inception in 2017, millions of euros have been raised to support 118 monuments this year. The participation of players ensures the survival of Lorraine's cultural treasures.
