During her headlining show in Munich, Germany, last night (August 31), Adele revealed that she’s going on a lengthy break following the end of her ongoing residency. “I just need a rest,” the visibly emotional singer said to the crowd while still onstage. “I’ve spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now.” Adele continued: “Thank you so much for coming. I know I’m not the most comfortable performer, but I am very good at it. I’ve truly enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, the longest I’ve ever done.”

Upcoming Performances

Adele has 10 shows left in her Las Vegas residency before her break, and the Munich concert was initially the final show of her tour. A few rescheduled dates will now have her concluding the run in November. She performed at a custom-built arena in Munich Messe that held 80,000 people exclusively for her shows.

Adele's Future

Adele expressed heartfelt gratitude to her fans, stating that she will miss them terribly during her break. “I want to live my new life that I’ve been building. I’ll remember these shows for eternity,” she said. Adele released her fourth studio album, 30, in 2021, which she celebrated in various accolades, including being listed in the “50 Best Albums of 2021.”
