Leah Behn Dazzles at Oslo Runway
Leah Behn Excels in Fashion
On Monday, the first day of Oslo Runway, Leah Behn made headlines by opening the show for the fashion brand Murlong Cres as part of the Oslo Runway Next talent program.
The 19-year-old influencer has been spotted wearing and tagging the Norwegian brand on Instagram multiple times.
Support from Team Models
“Leah is an incredibly talented young woman with multiple pursuits,” said Alexander Norheim from Team Models to Dagbladet. “We are thrilled to be a small part of her life and support one of her many talents.”
“It’s always a bit special to open a show. We are, as always, proud of Leah,” he added.
The Rise of Murlong Cres
Behn signed a modeling contract with Team Models in the spring of 2022. Murlong Cres, established by Kaja Høglund after losing her job in 2020, debuted during the Norwegian fashion week. The brand has attracted attention from both domestic and international fashion icons.
Aside from Behn, supermodel Elsa Hosk has been seen in a dress from Murlong Cres. Høglund noted a surge in sales and followers after Hosk donned one of her designs.
“I would love to see both Kendall Jenner and Hailey Bieber in Murlong Cres,” Høglund expressed earlier when asked whom she dreamed of seeing in her brand.
The Leah Effect
But what about the Leah effect? “Leah has a significant impact. Not every influencer possesses that, but she certainly does,” Høglund remarked after the fashion show.
The designer appeared emotional after what was undeniably a successful opening of Oslo Runway. “I was a bit taken aback. It was completely sold out, and people were on a waiting list,” she said after the show.
Now, Høglund will focus on creating beautiful pieces but first aims to celebrate this milestone, recognizing that runway shows are rare events.
Royal Influence in Fashion
Leah Behn is not the first royal to venture into modeling; she is sixth in line to the Norwegian throne after her mother and older sister Maud Angelica. Danish Count Nikolai, who was discovered at 18, has done various modeling gigs for brands like Dior and Burberry and was recently seen at Copenhagen Fashion Week with his girlfriend.
Additionally, Prince Felix of Denmark follows in his older brother’s footsteps, debuting for Danish brand Georg Jensen in 2022.
