Lawrence's Early Fame and Marriages

Lawrence rose to stardom in the early '80s on shows such as Blossom and Brotherly Love. Prior to Cope, he was married to Michelle Vella for three years before their 2005 split. Later, he tied the knot with Chandie Yawn-Nelson, remaining with her for over 15 years before ending their marriage.

Moving On

Amid his divorce from Yawn-Nelson, with whom Lawrence shares daughters Charleston and Liberty, he found love again with Cope while working on a Lifetime movie. “So, we met there and out of nowhere, you know, it was a crazy year and a half for everybody, obviously the whole world,” he exclusively told Us Weekly in 2021, referring to the Covid pandemic. “Then when you least expect [it], amazing things happen and meeting her has just been really the greatest thing ever.”
