Eagles Struggle in Preseason Game Against Vikings

Vikings Dominate Early

The Eagles played host on a beautiful sunny day in their final preseason game against the Vikings on Saturday. Much of the starters on both sides of the ball wore street clothes as the rest of the roster competed for a spot on the team in their last chance to showcase why they belong.

First Quarter

• The Vikings got on the board first with a touchdown from Trishton Jackson off of the throw by Jaren Hall. A pair of penalties plagued the Eagles on the drive.
• The Eagles began their first drive with six straight carries from Tyrion Davis-Price before he fumbled in Vikings territory, turning the ball over.

Second Quarter

• The Vikings extended their lead with a 31-yard field goal after a third down sack from Julian Okwara.
• The Eagles got their first points of the day with a 41-yard field goal from Jake Elliott.
• The Eagles failed to convert on fourth down with 1:30 left in the half.
• Another field goal from Minnesota made it a three-score game just before the half.

Third Quarter

• The Eagles offense gained some steam late in the quarter with a significant completion from McKee to Hebert.
• However, a turnover on downs ended the quarter for the Eagles.

Fourth Quarter

• McKee faced difficulties as an interception was thrown during a desperate drive.
• A late 57-yard field goal from Will Reichard further extended the Vikings' lead.
