NEW YORK—The 2024 US Open draw has set the stage for exciting encounters in both the men's and women's competitions. In the men’s draw, world No. 1 Jannik Sinner and No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz find themselves positioned for a thrilling semifinal clash, while in the women’s draw, defending champion Coco Gauff could meet Aryna Sabalenka again after their 2023 final.

Sinner emerges as the top seed for the first time at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, following a significant victory at the Cincinnati Open. His first match will be against Alex Michelson, after overcoming an anti-doping hurdle.
