Flights in and out of the Bay of Plenty are being affected by a column of volcanic smoke this morning.
RNZ reports the delays are caused by ash from White Island.
The volcano began a "period of minor eruption" on about August 9, GNS Science said, with "minor ash emissions" occurring.
