UFC 307: Curtis Out Due to Injury
UFC middleweight veteran Chris Curtis, currently ranked No. 15 at 185 pounds, was recently felled by injury and forced to withdraw from his Kevin Holland fight at the upcoming UFC 307 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 5, 2024, from inside Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. Curtis stated on Twitter, “I’m fine, guys. Bit of a fracture in my left foot. Caught Caio Borralho on the knee, at the very end of the last round of sparring. The bigger problem is I have something called a Lisfranc injury as well, which means I’m not even supposed to be walking without crutches the next four to five weeks.”
Implications for UFC 307
- Lisfranc injuries can cause severe complications and often require significant recovery time.
- Fans hope to see Curtis recover in time for December or early next year.
- Kevin Holland, who recently submitted Michal Oleksiejczuk at UFC 302, is expected to be rebooked against another opponent.
UFC 307 does not yet have a main event, but it is expected to feature a featherweight showdown between Movsar Evloev and Aljamain Sterling. Stay tuned for more updates on the UFC 307 fight card.
