Two additional women have stepped forward to accuse Poivre d'Arvor, bringing the total number of women making similar allegations to 46. Despite these serious claims, Poivre d'Arvor maintains his innocence.

Initially, these two women filed complaints in 2005, but their case was dismissed due to the expiry of the statute of limitations. They join five other women who have lodged complaints this June, not to mention Florence Porcel, who accused the journalist of raping her on two occasions in 2021. The accusations depict a troubling pattern of behavior from Poivre d'Arvor, suggesting a grim scenario where the same incidents have repeated with numerous victims.

Media's Role in the Allegations

• Poivre d'Arvor's reputed modus operandi involved inviting young women to his office after they attended the 8 PM news on TF1, which was extremely popular at the time.
• The police had conducted searches in his office back in 2005 when the first allegations were made.

Unfortunately, the justice system has struggled to address these complaints adequately. Many cases fell through the cracks of the legal changes initiated in 2007.
