Inter Miami star Luis Suarez confirmed on Friday that he is engaged in discussions regarding a contract extension with Inter Miami CF. The Uruguayan striker, who joined the Major League Soccer (MLS) club on a one-year deal set to expire in 2024, stated that his representatives are actively negotiating with the team.

“I know that my lawyer has been speaking with the club,” Suarez mentioned in Spanish. “But I have a clear mind about finishing the season, which is what I wanted, to finish the season in the best manner possible, demonstrating to the club that when someone has the desire, they’ll feel good physically and, of course, with the hope of continuing to be a part of this club’s history.”
