Givors: Train Services Set to Partially Resume Following Severe Weather Disruptions
Severe Weather Impact on Train Services
Due to the severe weather that affected the Rhône region, train traffic between Lyon and Givors will partially resume on Monday, October 21, as announced by SNCF on social media platform X.
This resumption will be initially partial, with a revised schedule available on their website starting Sunday around 5 PM.
Ongoing Challenges and Updates
However, services remain suspended on the Givors-Saint-Étienne segment, and there will be no substitute buses during the restoration of rail connections.
François Durovray, the transportation minister, noted the ongoing difficulties in accessing the hardest-hit areas, particularly between Givors and Saint-Étienne.
Earlier in the day, Durovray had also confirmed that the A47 would reopen on Saturday morning at 6 AM, providing some relief for commuters in the area.
