In an effort to revitalize Hyderabad's cultural heritage, Sai Life is stepping up to restore significant stepwells across the city. The state tourism department recently signed an agreement with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to initiate this vital project, which aims to preserve ancient structures while promoting them as tourist attractions.

Corporate Collaboration for Cultural Preservation

Key corporate partners are joining the restoration initiative. Infosys will undertake the renovation of Mahalaka Bai stepwell at Osmania University, while Sai Life will adopt the Manchirevula stepwell near ORR. Additional collaborations include:

  • Bharat Biotech for Salar Jung and Ammapalli stepwells
  • Dodla Dairy for Adikmet stepwell
  • Telangana Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) for Falaknuma stepwell
  • Koti Women's College management for Residency stepwell

The Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy encouraged industrialists to invest in the preservation of Hyderabad's historic structures, underscoring the government’s commitment to enhancing tourism alongside developing Telangana into a welfare state.

Emphasizing Cultural Significance

Speaking at the World Tourism Day program, the CM criticized the previous administration for neglecting historical landmarks. He also mentioned plans to renovate the old assembly building, noting the importance of preserving Jubilee Hall for future generations.
