Tony Pollard Drives Titans' Momentum

NASHVILLE – Titans quarterback Will Levis returns to the scene of his biggest victory with the team on Monday night.

Can Levis, and the Titans, rekindle some magic and spark a season turnaround in this year’s Monday Night Football contest at Hard Rock Stadium against the Miami Dolphins?

That’s the goal, of course, but the Titans aren’t thinking about the past as preparation begins.

“It was a lot of fun,” Levis said of last year’s contest. “But different team, different season for both of us. Any time you play on Monday night, the whole world is watching, and it gives a little bit of extra excitement, so we’ve got that. That was a good win for us, and we’re just hoping to go get another win down there at a point of the season where we really need one.”

Levis’ Last Encounter: Last December, Levis guided a thrilling comeback in the closing minutes, as the Titans scored 15 points in 51 seconds to erase a 14-point deficit and win, 28-27. Levis threw for 327 yards and a touchdown in that game, which was a career high.

So far this season, Levis has completed 64-of-94 passes for 578 yards and four touchdowns, but with five interceptions and three fumbles.

As the Titans aim to get back on track after an 0-3 start, Levis said he’s trying to stay upbeat, and lift his teammates, even though he admitted it’s been harder with the early season difficulties.

Maintaining Confidence: “Just continue to instill confidence in myself and others,” Levis said. “I think it’s easy to be in the ‘Woe is me’, like, ‘What am I doing wrong?’, like, ‘Am I not good enough?’, and you can never let that seep into your brain,” Levis said. “You have to come back and remind yourself of what kind of player you are, and what got you to this point.”

Belief in Team: “There’s a reason why we are all here and we should have no fear when it comes to going out there and playing against any team.”
