Farmen Contestants Keep Their Relationship a Secret

Tirsdag is the premiere of this year's season of Farmen, where 16 participants will live 100 years back in time at Gjedtjernet farm in Grue municipality. Among the contestants are Renate Rønninghaug Markussen (31) and Glenn-Eric Moe (56), who have been partners for seven years. However, they plan to keep their relationship hidden from fellow contestants for a few weeks.

Plans for Secrecy

“If we manage to hide it for the first week, I think we will hold out for the rest of the season,” Markussen said. The couple is curious about how their dynamics will play out while pretending not to know each other. Markussen added, “It will feel a bit false, but it’s beneficial for others to get to know us as individuals first.”

Previous Similar Situations

This isn't the first instance of a couple concealing their relationship on Farmen. Back in 2018, Tonje Frøystad Garvik and Lene Sleperud kept their love a secret until week eight, shocking other contestants with their revelation.
