The Philadelphia Eagles officially announced the inactives list for their 2024 NFL Week 2 game against the Atlanta Falcons. The following Eagles players WILL NOT PLAY: A.J. Brown, Devin White, Tanner McKee, Darian Kinnard, Trevor Keegan, Byron Young, and Eli Ricks.

A.J. Brown was downgraded to OUT on Saturday after originally being ruled questionable to play. The Eagles will hope that he only has to miss one game due to his hamstring injury. In the meantime, the Birds have five wide receivers active for this game: DeVonta Smith, Jahan Dotson, Britain Covey, Johnny Wilson, and Parris Campbell (who was temporarily elevated from the practice squad). Expect to see DeVonta heavily featured.

Johnny Wilson is notably ACTIVE despite being ruled questionable to play. Wilson went through a pregame routine with trainers and Howie Roseman watching. White is a healthy scratch; the veteran linebacker was not listed on the final injury report with a designation. And so it’ll definitely be Nakobe Dean and Zack Baun as the starting linebackers once again.

White could conceivably play in the future if there are injuries ... but he’s clearly not being trusted to help out on special teams. Strange arc, going from signing a one-year, $4 million contract ($3.5 million guaranteed) ... to taking all of the first first-team 11-on-11 reps in training camp ... to being a healthy scratch early in the season. Will White even definitely be on the roster by the time the season ends?

Under the NFL’s third quarterback rule, McKee is only allowed to play if both Jalen Hurts AND Kenny Pickett leave the game due to injury. Kinnard and Keegan are healthy scratches with eight other offensive linemen active ahead of them. Young is a healthy scratch as the sixth defensive tackle. Ricks is a healthy scratch after being active but not playing on special teams much in Week 1. Rookie Jalyx Hunt is active for the first time in his NFL career.
