IOS 18: Everything You Need to Know About Compatibility and Features
IOS 18 Released Today
This year's biggest software update for iPhone is here. IOS 18 is expected to launch sometime during the day (Monday, September 16), likely around 7 PM Swedish time, based on previous releases.
Compatibility with IOS 18
IOS 18 supports the same iPhone models as IOS 17, including iPhone XR and newer models:
- iPhone 11
- iPhone 12
- iPhone 13
- iPhone 14
On the iPad side, iPad OS 18 will not support models with the A10X Fusion chip, and will be compatible with:
- iPad Pro (2018 and later)
- iPad Air (2019 and later)
- iPad mini (2019 and later)
- iPad (2020 and later)
New iPhone 16 models, launching on September 20, will come with IOS 18 pre-installed. If you're unsure about which iPhone or iPad model you have, you can go to Settings, General, About to check your model.
