Quiz de la Route: Engage in Road Safety Education
Join the Quiz de la Route Challenge
Starting today, the AWSR invites companies and citizens to update their knowledge of the road code in a playful manner by participating in the Quiz de la Route. This week is particularly conducive to promoting safe travel on our roads, especially during commute hours. According to AXA’s figures, nearly 1 in 5 workplace accidents in 2023 was a road accident.
The Challenge for Companies
Statistics show that workplace accidents are more severe in terms of work stoppage. The average absence period for a workplace accident is 20 days in 2023, while it rises to 28 days for accidents during commutes. “The impact of workplace accidents on employees' lives and company operations is significant. Encouraging employees to travel safely is crucial for companies and benefits everyone,” says Philippe Courouble, Chief P&C Officer at AXA Belgium.
Participate for Free- Companies can join the challenge and participate in teams by registering for free.
- Each participant answers 10 multiple choice questions, receiving immediate feedback on their performance.
- Prizes include road safety training and public gifts for participants.
Accessible to Everyone
From September 16, the Quiz de la Route is also available for all citizens. This initiative allows users to refresh their road knowledge and stay updated on the evolving road code and mobility. A survey by AWSR revealed that only 46% of Walloon drivers believe they would pass a re-examination of their driver's permit without prior revision.
This quiz includes about 100 questions covering road safety, the road code, and mobility, encouraging frequent participation until October 16.
Promote Road Code Awareness
The Quiz de la Route results from a collaboration between regional agencies responsible for road safety, namely the AWSR and VSV, supported by AXA expertise and assistance from partners.
