Brownlow Medal 2024: Hosts Announced

AFL awards season is rapidly approaching, with the hosts for the 2024 Brownlow Medal ceremony to be announced on Sunday. Channel 7’s Hamish McLachlan and Rebecca Maddern are set to host the AFL’s night of nights again as the league’s best players vie for the most prestigious individual award in the game.

Excitement Builds for the Ceremony

Reigning winner Lachie Neale is among the favorites again this year, alongside West Aussie Patrick Cripps and Collingwood phenomenon Nick Daicos. Maddern said she was looking forward to the night and loved the unpredictable nature of the medal night.

  • “I am thrilled to be hosting this year’s Brownlow Medal alongside Hamish again,” she said.
  • “It’s a juggle to host a live TV event with an unpredictable ending plus a room of 1800 people simultaneously, but that’s why Hamish and I love it. It keeps us on our toes,”
  • “It’s such a great night, to look back and celebrate the footy season with the players and their partners.”

Maddern emphasized, “We’re deep in preparations with the entire 7Sport broadcast team to ensure viewers at home are treated to an exceptional Brownlow broadcast. I cannot wait.”

The 2024 Brownlow Medal Red Carpet show kicks off on Monday September 23, at 5.30pm on 7mate and 7plus, with coverage of the count itself to follow at 6pm, and from 7pm on Channel 7.
