Demi Moore Reflects on Weekly Visits to Bruce Willis Amid His Dementia Battle
Demi Moore Shares Insight on Bruce Willis's Health
Demi Moore shared an update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis amid his ongoing dementia battle. During an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, the actor reminisced about their work together in the film Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, where Willis had a small role. Barrymore reminded Moore, 'When we did Charlie's Angels, Bruce came and played on it.' Moore admitted she 'totally forgot about that.'
When asked about Willis's health, Moore replied, 'Given the givens, he is in a stable place.' Moore and Willis were married from 1987 to 2000 and share three daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30. In April 2022, the family revealed that Bruce was diagnosed with aphasia, a communication disorder impacting speech production and comprehension.
Nearly a year later, his wife Emma Heming announced that his diagnosis had progressed to frontotemporal dementia (FTD). 'What I say to my kids is you meet them where they’re at,' Moore shared with Barrymore. 'You don’t hold on to who they were or what you want them to be, but who they are in this moment. From that, there is such beauty, joy, love, and sweetness.'
Moore revealed that she visits Willis 'every week' when she’s in Los Angeles, stating, 'I really treasure the time that we all share.'
