iOS 18: Mastering the Art of Hiding and Locking Apps

Securing Your Apps with iOS 18

iOS 18 introduces fantastic features for locking and hiding apps, ensuring your privacy remains intact. To lock an app, simply long press on it until a menu appears, select Require Face ID, and confirm. When prompted, use Face ID or your passcode to secure access.

Hiding Apps Made Easy

With iOS 18, you can also hide apps from the Home Screen. After locking, long press the app again and choose Hide and Require Face ID. This will keep the app concealed from view. To access it, go to the hidden apps folder in the app library.

Considerations for Stolen Device Protection

If you've enabled Stolen Device Protection, unlocking or unhiding apps requires Face ID only. To adjust this, navigate to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and disable it if desired, but be cautious—it’s a vital safety feature.
