During the Herbstferien, the TecGirls’Days are an exciting opportunity for young women to explore and engage with technology through practical experiences. From October 29 to 30, girls from grades 8 through 12 can participate in over 40 diverse workshops at the Technical University of Schweinfurt and Schaeffler. This initiative, previously known as MINT-Schnuppertage, aims to broaden girls' career choices towards technology.
Comprehensive Workshop Offerings
- On Tuesday, October 29, the Technical University will host 26 workshops.
- Schaeffler Technologies AG & Co. KG will offer 17 additional workshops on Wednesday, October 30.
These sessions cover numerous intriguing topics like:
- What is Virtual Reality?
- How do Robots Become Intelligent?
- Building a Bluetooth Music Box
- Candle-Light – Made by Yourself
A free bus transfer will be available from the districts of Main-Spessart, Haßberge, and Rhön-Grabfeld to the event locations in Schweinfurt. Workshops run from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with registration starting on September 16 and closing on October 13 via tecgirls.thws.de. All minor participants must submit a registration form signed by their parents, which can be completed online during the registration process.
