Naomi Watts is indeed bringing back Old Hollywood glamour with the timeless dress she wore to the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards. Arriving tonight at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles, the actor looked gorgeous in a strapless emerald green evening gown. The elegant piece—custom-made by Balenciaga—featured a bow adorned to the back, with its tails extending down into a long train.

Taking Creative Risks

She opened up about taking more creative risks in her career in a recent interview with Harper’s Bazaar.

“I think as you grow, and having had a lot of experiences now, I could imagine doing something like that more easily,” Watts said. “But at the time, it just felt too risky. I’ve had great successes, great failures, some middle of the road. I’ve had every type of experience by now, so I’m much more up for new things. Risk is fantastic. Failure is inevitable. Success is hardly ever. I know how to ride the waves better—not feel good about it all the time, but I know that they come and go.”

She added, “I feel like we are who we are, and I’ve got my story intertwined in nearly every story I tell. I would say the stories that I’ve struggled with are usually getting worked out in some kind of way through my work.”
