Diamondbacks Standings: Analyzing the Texas Rangers' Performance
Diamondbacks Standings Highlight Rangers' Struggles
The Texas Rangers scored four runs in this series but the Arizona Diamondbacks scored 14 runs today. It’s at least sort of grimly poetic that perhaps the least competitive series for these Rangers in 2024 came in a series sweep to the team that they had beaten handily in the most recent World Series.
They’re not going to accomplish it, because I can just look over at the framed photo of the Dallas Morning News from the day after the Rangers clinched their first ever World Series championship hanging up on the wall to my left and smile, but this team really is doing everything that they can to have been the ultimately bummer immediately following the ultimate triumph.
Such is the Texas Rangers on a spiritual level, I suppose. We all knew what we were signing up for when we hitched ourselves to this wagon.
