The Westerscheldetunnel is currently dealing with a severe traffic jam, caused by a truck that has broken down on the N62. The traffic is backed up up to 9 kilometers towards Borssele, leading to delays expected to last at least 30 minutes.
Current Conditions
Only one lane is currently available for vehicles traveling from Zeeuws-Vlaanderen to Borssele, creating further congestion. Recovery efforts for the stalled truck are scheduled for 7:30 PM, however, this will result in the complete closure of the East Tunnel for up to an hour.
