Chad McQueen Remembered

Chad McQueen, son of cinema legend Steve McQueen, has sadly passed away at 63. He was widely recognized for his performances in the first two Karate Kid films during the 1980s.

A Life of Passion and Legacy

Chad's health deteriorated after an organ failure related to a fall in 2020, and he was unable to recover fully. In a heartfelt tribute, his children Chase and Madison shared, "His remarkable journey as a father, along with his unwavering love for our mother, reflects a life filled with love." They continued, "He instilled in us his passion for life, just as our grandfather did. As a family, we must navigate this tough period and kindly request respect for our grieving process while we celebrate his incredible life."

Celebrating a Passion for Racing

Born in Los Angeles in 1960, Chad McQueen began his film career in the late 1970s, eventually landing his most famous role as Dutch in the original Karate Kid (1984) and its sequel Karate Kid: The Moment of Truth (1986). He did not appear in Karate Kid 3 (1989) or the hit Netflix series Cobra Kai, though his character is mentioned to be in prison.

Like his father, Chad had a deep passion for cars, starting racing at the age of 10. In 2010, he founded McQueen Racing, a company dedicated to building race cars and motorcycles.
