How to Edit Your DMs
- Locate the direct message in your conversation thread.
- Click on the three dots menu next to the message.
- Select 'Edit' from the dropdown menu.
- Make your changes and hit 'Save'.
Once edited, recipients will see an 'Edited' tag below the message, keeping conversations transparent.
Feature Limitations
While the editing feature has no time restriction, each message can only be edited up to five times and does not support image editing or changes to encrypted DMs. Despite these limitations, iOS users can now enjoy a more refined messaging experience on X.
