THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An indigenous EV charging station was inaugurated at the C-DAC Thiruvananthapuram, located in the Technopark Campus on Sunday. This model facility will feature a variety of AC and DC fast chargers for vehicles ranging from two-wheelers to heavy-duty trucks. Its establishment is set to play a vital role in fostering an ecosystem for charging infrastructure through indigenous EV charger research, development, commercialisation, and manufacturing.
Inauguration Highlights
The program was graced by S Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), who also inaugurated the Hardware Emulation Facility at C-DAC’s Vellayambalam campus. This innovative facility is designed to support startups under the C2S programme and DLI Scheme, focusing on development, testing, and validation of hardware designs for VLSI and SoC technologies.
