New Age Technology and Strategic Acquisitions

Recently, Parekh revealed plans to explore acquisitions within Europe or the United States, focusing on companies that align with their strategic synergies. In January 2024, Infosys announced an agreement to acquire a 100% stake in InSemi Technology Services, worth nearly ₹280 crore, followed by another in April for a 100% stake in in-Tech Holding for approximately 450 million euros.

Engineering Services Expansion

  • Parekh emphasized strong performance in engineering services within Infosys.
  • The company's balance sheet supports comfortable integration of acquisitions.
  • Parekh noted potential interest in areas like data analytics and possibly expanding into the SAAS sector.

Future Outlook on Generative AI

As part of its strategy, Infosys is currently engaged in 225 Generative AI client programs, training more than 250,000 employees in this transformative technology. Parekh believes the adoption of Generative AI will accelerate, similar to previous trends seen with digital technologies.
