A new Starfield update from Bethesda adds an off-road vehicle called the REV-8 to your garage and higher frame rates for players with an Xbox Series S.

Introducing the REV-8 Vehicle

The REV-8 is a four-wheeled, all-terrain vehicle packed with features for your universe-exploring adventures. Equipped with a mounted turret to fend off hostile enemies and a thick layer of armor, the REV-8 keeps you safe from danger. It comes with rear boosters for quick escapes and undercarriage boosters that help glide across chasms and canyons. Plus, there's a seat for Vasco to remind you to manage your speed!

Improved Framerates and Display Tweaks

The new Starfield update brings significant display enhancements for players on the Xbox Series S. New frame rate options range from 30, 40, 60, or uncap your fps for a smoother gameplay experience. If you lack a variable refresh rate (VRR) display capable of 120hz, the 30 and 60 fps options remain effective.

• Choose to prioritize visuals or performance with selected frame rates.
• For 60 fps or higher, Bethesda recommends prioritizing performance.
• Toggle Vsync on or off to prevent screen tearing.

Similar updates were made for the Xbox Series X version back in May, including a revamped design for surface maps enhancing legibility across all platforms.
