Indices Overview: Nifty Indices Fall 0.89% Amid Stock Market Updates

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a negative note on Monday. Shares of Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 1.19 per cent), Ashok Leyland Ltd. (up 0.61 per cent), TVS Motor Company Ltd. (up 0.29 per cent), Exide Industries Ltd. (up 0.26 per cent), and Samvardhana Motherson International Ltd. (up 0.25 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. 

On the other hand, shares of Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (down 2.66 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (down 1.19 per cent), Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (down 1.07 per cent), Bosch Ltd. (down 1.05 per cent), and Tata Motors Ltd. (down 0.97 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day.

The Nifty Auto index closed 0.89 per cent down at 25368.75. The benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 31.5 points at 24572.65, while the BSE Sensex stood down 12.16 points at 80424.68. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 ended in the green, while 20 closed in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Ola Electric Mobility, YES Bank, Suzlon Energy, and Zomato were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Vinny Overseas, Sterling Tools, Radhika Jeweltech, Matrimony.com, and Pondy Oxides hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while GSS Infotech, Keerti Knowledge, Arman Financial, Madhya Bharat Agro, and Sobha (PP) hit their fresh 52-week lows.
