Apple TV+ Now Available on Prime Video: Expand Your Viewing Choices
Apple TV+ Now Offered via Prime Video
You might think Apple TV+ and Amazon Prime Video are competitors, but today they announced a surprising collaboration. Apple TV+ will soon be available through Prime Video in the U.S. for an add-on subscription of $9.99 per month.
Though there’s no apparent benefit to signing up through Prime Video beyond having both services in one app, this move aligns with Apple’s goal to broaden its audience. Eddy Cue, Apple’s SVP of Services, states, “We want to make Apple TV+ and its award-winning library of series and films from the world’s greatest storytellers available to as many viewers as possible.”
For users who do not have a subscription, the price remains the same as signing up directly via the Apple TV app. Notably, the monthly cost of Apple TV+ had increased from $6.99 to $9.99 last October.
To enhance accessibility, Apple had previously partnered with Comcast, bundling Apple TV+ with Peacock and Netflix for $30 a month—a deal available only for Xfinity customers.
To sign up for Apple TV+ through Prime Video, simply log in to your account and navigate to the Subscriptions tab. This option will roll out later this month, giving users even more ways to access quality entertainment.
