PM Modi's Vision at IIIT-A Convocation

Prayagraj: India has played a pivotal role in information and technology as India invented remote software and IT services that helped the proliferation of systems for the larger good and created wealth, not just for Indians but for people of many other countries, said Kiran Deshpande, former CEO of Tech Mahindra and Co-Founder of Mojo Networks. He was speaking as the chief guest at the 19th convocation of the Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad (IIIT-A), on Saturday.

Significance of Education Reform

Delivering the convocation address, Deshpande said that today, IT is at the nucleus of progress made in various areas of life and livelihood. Whether it is your health, managing our money, travel, entertainment, sports, professional pursuits, or personal needs, computers are at the core of it all.

Prime Minister Modi's vision of Atmanirbhar and Viksit Bharat can only be achieved through diligent efforts by every citizen, including students of higher education. A total of 673 students were awarded degrees at this grand ceremony.

A notable recognition was the Chairman's Gold Medal awarded to Inder Sonu for his overall academic performance.

Prof Mukul Sharad Sutar, director of IIIT-A, stated that our institute is committed to advancing India's position as a leader in next-generation communication technologies as we engage in cutting-edge research in the 5G and 6G arenas.
