In a groundbreaking move, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has initiated a facial recognition attendance system for its employees. This advanced system captures and registers employee faces through a mobile app developed by the IT department. Notably, personnel from 14 different departments are among the first to be enrolled in this innovative program.

This AI-driven facial recognition system has already been successfully implemented for sanitation workers, assuring precise and transparent attendance tracking. On the first day of implementation, faces from departments such as advertisement and publicity, finance, and solid waste management were captured. Moving forward, more departments including Electrical Division and Housing Projects will adopt this technology.
