GURU Initiative Launched by Goa CM Pramod Sawant

On Wednesday, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant inaugurated the Goa University Research Park Unit (GURU) initiative under the UniGoa Knowledge and Innovation Foundation. During the event, he distributed sanction letters to teams benefiting from the Hand Holding and Start-Up Scheme 2023-24.

The GURU initiative signifies a substantial investment of Rs 12.85 crore to set up advanced facilities and equipment aimed at empowering young innovators. CM Sawant stated, “The initiative symbolizes the knowledge and mentorship that will drive Goa's advancements in biotechnology, healthcare, information technology, and electronics innovation.”

Further expressing confidence in the GURU initiative, CM Sawant remarked on its pivotal role in nurturing young innovators and fostering startups in the domains of bio-engineering, agriculture, healthcare, and electronics. This initiative is expected to significantly contribute to society.
