The UAE Cyber Security Council, in partnership with the Technology Innovation Institute (TII), has officially announced the inaugural CyberQ: Security in the Quantum Era event. Scheduled for November 12-13 at the ADNEC in Abu Dhabi, this two-day conference aims to bring together international experts, key policymakers, and industry leaders to discuss fundamental challenges in cybersecurity in the quantum age.

Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al-Kuwaiti, Chairman of the UAE Cybersecurity Council, stated that under the wise leadership of the UAE, this event is timely as the nation prepares to unveil three new cybersecurity strategies by the year-end. These strategies encompass advanced technologies such as cloud security, IoT, and cybersecurity operations centers, positioning the UAE as a forefront leader in these domains.

Dr. Najwa Aaraj, CEO of TII, emphasized the potential of quantum computers to resolve complex issues at unprecedented speeds, while concurrently presenting threats to traditional encryption methods. She highlighted that TII is committed to developing next-generation cryptographic and quantum communication technologies to secure sensitive data against evolving threats.
