Poly Medicure Joins Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance
New Delhi: Poly Medicure, a leading medical device manufacturer, has announced a strategic partnership with the Zero Emission Maritime Buyers Alliance (ZEMBA) to help pioneer the adoption of e-fuels in ocean freight shipping.
The ZEMBA tender aims to aggregate over 80 billion tonne-nautical miles of demand for zero-emission shipping and is expected to scale up e-fuel-powered container shipping by 2027.
Dhruv Baid, Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy, Poly Medicure, said: “While focusing on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, Poly Medicure is also addressing Scope 3 emissions through its membership in ZEMBA. This provides us with a vital platform to tackle emissions from maritime shipping by driving significant demand and purchasing power for zero-emission fuels.”
Through ZEMBA’s upcoming tender in January 2025, Poly Medicure will support the development of a zero-emission maritime fuel market, underscoring its commitment to sustainability and climate leadership.
