Patiala: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has imposed a conditional cost of Rs 50,000 on the Secretary of Medical Education and Principal of Medical College Amritsar due to the neglect of its orders from July 31, 2023. This ruling relates to Dr. Rajiv Dhawan, whose retirement at age 58 was revoked, allowing him to remain in his educational capacity until 62. After a year of inactivity regarding the execution of this decree, the petitioner initiated a contempt petition facilitated by Advocate Mohit Garg.
