Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate & Postgraduate Medical Educational Courses announced on Saturday that, at the completion of the second round of admissions, 222 MBBS seats have remained non-reported, including four seats in govt colleges and 218 seats in private colleges. Similarly, 374 BDS seats remained non-reported, including 22 seats in govt colleges and 352 in private colleges.

Apart from that, a new college, Bhagyoday Medical College in Kadi taluka of Mehsana, has been approved, which has added 100 MBBS seats. The committee said that the non-reported seats, along with those newly added, will be offered in the third round of admissions.

The committee's statement said that 7,792 seats were allocated in the second round in both courses. Of those allocated seats, 7,196 students confirmed their admission by paying tuition fees and reporting to their respective colleges with original documents.

Sources said that the third round of admissions for the all-India quota is scheduled to begin on Oct 7. The third round of admissions in the state will begin after the all-India round ends on Oct 11, sources said.
