Ordering Your Free At-Home Tests

  2. Click on 'Order Free At-Home Tests' in the blue bubble on Covid.gov.

  4. Click 'Check Out Now' to complete your request.

The tests are completely free, including shipping. Only one person per household should place a request.

For Those Without Internet Access

Testing and Accuracy

Your tests should arrive within a few days. While you cannot choose the brand, they will be FDA-authorized rapid antigen tests. It’s vital to take a test if you have symptoms or have been exposed to the virus within five days.

Recommended tests include:

  • Abbott BinaxNow Antigen Rapid Self-Test Kit
  • FlowFlex Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test
  • QuickVue At-Home OTC Covid-19 Test Kit
  • Intrivo Diagnostics On/Go Antigen Self-Test
  • iHealth Covid-19 Antigen Rapid Test

Common Issues When Ordering

Do you live in a multi-unit building? Make sure your address is entered accurately to avoid complications with the order system.

Importance of Vaccination

Please remember that while vaccines enhance your protection, they don't guarantee immunity. For those unvaccinated, it's strongly recommended to get vaccinated, and check Vaccines.gov for locations near you.
